FLOODS IN ASSAM | GAMES | MY DAILY LIFE | Three Important Essay for Class Nine and Ten HSLC Examination | Essay writing

 FLOODS IN ASSAM

Introduction:-

At a particular time of the year Assam makes news in the ALL-India newspaper. It is the  time of floods. The same old story of flood is repeated every year almost in the same way.

                                                                                                                When floods occurred:-

With the advent of the wet monsoon in May and June it start raining in Assam and continues for two to three months that follow. This period of the year is the rainy season in this region and the chief crop of paddy is planted during this season. But often because of excessive rains particularly in the foothills of the Himalayas the river in Assam cannot carry away all the water and this excess water submerges the low-lying areas of the valley. This is how flood occur in Assam.

                                                                                                             Damages of floods:-

Floods cause damage to standing crops in the fields and houses and properties in the village. Certain areas like Majuli are affected by floods every year. The Government has built embankments along the banks of some rivers and it has saved certain areas from floods. But sometimes these embankments prove to be a source of greater danger than normal floods.

                                                                                                                 Benefits of  Floods :-

However, floods also do good to the cultivators. They leave a layer of silt on the fields that make the land fertile. This enable them to reap a good harvest.

Conclusion :-

Floods cause great damage to the economy of our state. The Government must take effective measure to control floods. The Central Government has already set up the Brahmaputra Board . But up till now it has been able to do very little.

My aim in life | Important Essay for Class Nine and Ten HSLC Examination | Essay writing

 My aim in life

What we mean by aim in life:

A student prepares himself for the future. He can do it in a better way if he has a goal before him. This may be called the aim in life.

My aim in life

My aim is to be a teacher in our local school. I want to be an English teacher. The reasons are rather practical. I do not have an aptitude for Mathematics and Science, nor am I good at these subjects. Moreover, I am the eldest of four children of my parents and have to take the responsibility of the family since then. If I become a teacher in the local high school, I can stay at home, and help my brother and sisters in the pursuit of their studies.

Why I have choose the aim

I admit that mainly personal considerations have prompted me to have this aim in my life. But I also believe that if I work with sincerity it will be a service to the society as well. I shall try to do this. I have particularly a mind to try to learn English thoroughly and undergo training in English teaching after graduation so that my teaching really help the students.

Besides teaching I shall also engage myself in farming and try to apple scientific method in cultivation. I shall also persuade my fellow-villagers to do this. I believe that it will improve the condition of our village.

Conclusion

If I can see my brothers and sisters well-established in life, if my students benefit from my teaching and the villagers become enlightened and prosperous to a certain extent because of my stay in the village, I will regard my aim in life to have been fulfilled.

Zoo, A VISIT TO THE ZOO | Important Essay for Class Nine and Ten HSLC Examination | Essay writing

preparation

It was Sunday morning. I, along with Neeta and Raj, my cousin, decided to visit the zoo. We also decided to have

our lunch there. There was some discussion on what to take for lunch. Once the decision was made, all of us set to work. Lunch items were

packed and we started for the zoo in an autorickshaw.

What you saw in the zoo

Half an hour later we reached the zoo. Raju bought three tickets from the counter near the gate and we got inside without delay. The first thing that attracted my attention immediately was the beautiful garden where some children were playing.

What you liked most

We took a turn towards the left and began to pass through a new and thrilling world of animals many of which were never known to me at all. The first thing that attracted my attention immediately was the beautiful garden where some children were playing.

We took a turn towards the left and began to pass through a new and thrilling world of animals many of which were never known to me at all. The first attractive animal I saw was he hippopotamus. There were four of them including two young ones. Then we moved towards the other parts of the zoo. I could not keep count of the numerous birds and animal I saw. But some of the animals like the white tiger, giraffe and zebra had a special attraction for me. The chimpanzee attracted the biggest crowd. Its human-like gestures delighted the crowd, particularly, the children.

At noon we were tired and hungry. We set at lonely place under a tree and had our lunch. we took a rest for some time and then returned home.

Conclusion

This visit to the zoo was a wonderful experience for me. I saw many animals and birds for the first time. The visit was very entertaining too.
